Who Is Recruiting at the Novi Engineering Job Fair

ESD has not posted its 2026 exhibitor list yet. What it has published is a roster of past participants, and it reads like a map of Southeast Michigan's engineering economy: Ford, DTE, General Dynamics Land Systems, LG Energy Solution, the Michigan Department of Transportation, Ghafari, NTH Consultants, OHM Advisors, Sachse Construction, DΓΌrr Systems, Trane and Waste Management among them.

Treat that as a preview of the type of employer, not a promise of who shows up on the 29th. The 2026 lineup may look different, so check back with ESD closer to the date. ESD says the fair regularly draws hundreds of engineers and tech professionals, and employers can interview on the spot.

πŸ’΅ What It Costs and How to Register

This is the part that trips people up. Unlike most metro Detroit job fairs, Engineers Get Hired charges job seekers who are not ESD members. Register by Thursday, October 15, and it's $20. After that, it's $25. Current ESD members get in free.

The fee isn't just a ticket. For new, first-time members it includes a one-year ESD membership. Registration runs through ESD's member portal, which asks you to sign in. If you're not a member, you can create a free guest account first, then pay the non-member rate.

Engineers Get Hired is tailored to engineering and technology professionals: seasoned and mid-career engineers, college students, recent graduates and people moving into the field. If you're looking for retail, warehouse or general office work, this isn't your fair.

Different event, different day, different crowd. The free Michigan Military Community Job Fair in Southfield runs the day before, Wednesday, October 28, and it's open well beyond veterans. Closer to the city, two WCCCD career fairs on October 14 and 15 run the week before.

πŸ“‹ How to Show Up Ready

  • Register before October 15. It's the cheapest way in.
  • Bring printed resumes and know your credentials. Have your degree, any PE or EIT status, and software skills ready to state in one breath.
  • Plan for the I-96 rush. The fair runs into evening rush hour, so leave early if you're coming up from Detroit or across from Macomb County.

πŸ”Ž Engineering Jobs Around Metro Detroit

The fair is one afternoon. The engineering jobs are spread from Dearborn and downtown to the Troy and Auburn Hills tech corridor along I-75.
